A note from Caleb Smith
“When I started Renex, the vision was simple: create the kind of construction company I'd want working on my own home.
Over the years, I've met countless homeowners who spent more time worrying about choosing a builder than planning the project they were actually excited about. That never sat right with me. Improving your home should be something you look forward to, not something you lose sleep over because you're wondering whether you've made the right decision.
That's why Renex exists. We focus on the things homeowners consistently tell us matter most: honest conversations, clear communication, transparent pricing and genuine respect for your home. We take the time to explain things properly, keep you informed throughout your project and make sure you always know what's happening next. They're simple principles, but they're also the foundations of trust.
I've spent the last 15 years working across extensions, renovations, landscaping and site management, starting with a bricklaying apprenticeship and building my experience from the ground up. Alongside that hands-on experience, I gained an HNC in Construction Management, giving me the practical knowledge and technical understanding needed to deliver projects properly. It's a combination that helps me not only build quality work, but also manage projects in a way that gives homeowners confidence from start to finish.
Every extension, renovation and landscaping project we complete is another opportunity to prove that construction doesn't have to feel uncertain. My goal isn't simply to build great spaces—it's to build a company that homeowners genuinely trust and feel confident recommending to their friends and family. That trust is earned through every conversation, every decision and every project we deliver.
